Position Overview
Dependable Emergency Vehicles is seeking a Fabricator / Aluminum Welder to fabricate, weld, fit, and assemble aluminum components used in custom fire trucks and emergency vehicles.
The ideal candidate has strong fabrication and aluminum welding skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working from drawings and measurements in a custom manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, fit, form, weld, and assemble aluminum components
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and specifications
- Fabricate custom truck body parts and components
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment
- Measure and fit components accurately
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Follow safe welding and fabrication practices
- Assist with final vehicle assembly
- Assist with custom fire truck and emergency vehicle builds
- Work collaboratively with other members of the production team
Experience
Previous experience in aluminum welding, fabrication, truck body manufacturing, automotive, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
Education
Welding, fabrication, or related trade training is preferred.

Assets
- MIG and/or TIG welding experience
- Aluminum sheet metal experience
- Stainless steel experience
