Position Overview

Western Canada Sales Representative

Wildland & Specialty Fire Apparatus

Dependable Emergency Vehicles is expanding its presence in Western Canada and is looking for an experienced, motivated Sales Representative specializing in Wildland and Specialty Fire Apparatus.

This position will focus on developing and growing our presence across Western Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Candidates based in Western Canada is preferred.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships and generating new business with fire departments, municipalities, regional districts and other emergency service organizations throughout Western Canada. Responsibilities include:
  • Developing new business across Western Canada
  • Building relationships with Fire Chiefs, municipal decision-makers and fleet departments
  • Promoting Dependable wildland, interface and specialty fire apparatus
  • Identifying upcoming apparatus opportunities and tenders
  • Working with customers to develop specifications and apparatus solutions
  • Attending fire service conferences, trade shows and demonstrations
  • Managing opportunities from initial contact through quotation and award
  • Working closely with Dependable's sales, engineering and production teams
Experience
Previous experience in pipe fitting, stainless steel fabrication, welding, plumbing, automotive, or manufacturing is preferred.
Who We’re Looking For

Experience in fire apparatus, wildland firefighting equipment, emergency vehicles, municipal equipment, heavy trucks or related industries is preferred.

Existing relationships within the Western Canadian fire service would be a strong asset.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable developing a territory, travelling regularly and building long-term relationships with our customers.
